The non-profit autonomous organization "AfroCosmos" is an initiative created within the framework and current context of the BRICS countries, aiming to promote the development of international cooperation in the space sector.
The goal of this initiative is to build a strong bridge between African countries and Russia in the areas of space diplomacy, science, technology, and education.
AfroCosmos aspires to inspire a new generation of researchers, foster knowledge exchange, and unite efforts for scientific exploration.
Our mission is to become a platform for dialogue, partnership, and joint initiatives, strengthening Africa's role within the global space community and expanding the horizons of Russian-African scientific cooperation.

The time has come, within the BRICS framework, for Africa’s voice to be heard in the space domain.
Rich in natural resources and human potential, the African continent is full of young talents who deserve genuine access to advanced knowledge and cutting-edge technologies.
It is in this spirit that I carry the AfroCosmos project: an initiative aimed at fostering skill transfer and developing innovative technologies, in close collaboration with Russian leaders in the space sector.
AfroCosmos is much more than a project — it is a commitment to inclusive scientific diplomacy and a strong bridge between Africa and Russia, focused on a shared future of research, innovation, and mutual cooperation.

We aim for the following objectives:
Set-up Phase
The integration of the African community living in Russia, particularly talented students, as well as the formation of an African team to participate in competitions, hackathons, and museum visits — with a single goal: to contribute to the development of innovations in the space sector."
Development Phase
Organizing the training of human resources for the space sector,
Creation and stimulation of research and development (R&D) centers for the industry.
Creation and stimulation of research and development (R&D) centers for the industry.
Consolidation and Expansion Phase
Development of space technologies, in collaboration with leaders of the Russian space industry.
Creation of a Martian conditions simulation center (under the auspices of the Institute of Biomedical Problems (IMBP). Development of technologies for upcoming missions to Mars and the Moon.
Implementation of a launch site project in cooperation with BRICS countries on African soil.
Training of specialists for the production of parts and components for technological devices, such as satellites, and their assembly in Africa.
Preparation of human resources for the implementation of Russian eco-technologies, ensuring safety, etc.
